Hi Team,
We, the Funky Monkeys from Lynbrook, and the Quixilvers from Leland gave a joint robot demonstration at the Western Digital company grounds in their annual Engineer Day to express our gratitude for the company’s generous sponsorship. It was a great event; crowds of people, engineers and heads of the company, were fascinated by our sophisticated machines that were largely made in 6 weeks. The audience were excited to see the robots kicking soccer balls, driving over the 13 inch bump, and extending the lift. Our members engaged in active conversations with the company employees, and they displayed enthusiastic interest at our robots’ abilities and team accomplishments.
Our team and Leland’s team were invited on the front stage (pictured below) where both teams presented gifts to the company CEO, John F. Coyne. It was a great demo, and we hope to continue our relationship with Western Digital in the future.
