Workshop Presentations
In a 6 week series of workshops led by Lynbrook Robotics’ veterans, rookie members learn the skills needed to contribute to the robot in preparation for build season.
The software workshop series teaches new members the fundamentals of robot programming. In these workshops, students learn concepts applicable to robot hardware such as state machines and control loops.

Our fall CAD (computer-aided design) workshop series helps students learn how to use the CAD application Autodesk Inventor in making fundamental robotic parts and assemblies.

The machining workshops teach members how to use various machines in our room such as the Lathe and CNC. Students develop a variety of skills such as interpreting machinist drawings to make parts. Additionally, students learn the basics of computer-aided manufacturing (CAM).

The electrical workshop series is focused on teaching the basics of the FRC Control System. Students learn basic wiring practices and various components in the control system.

The animation workshop series helps members learn to use Autodesk Maya and Blender, both 3D computer graphics softwares. Students develop skills needed to help produce an animation entry for the annual FIRST Safety Animation Competition.
